RFN, RadioFrame Networks, has announced their plans for a second gen OmniRadio processor which will bring low cost high functionality femtocell products to LTE, Long Term Evolution, and WiMAX networks. Last year RadioFrame launched their OmniRadio processor, its first silicon solution which was developed exclusively for the femtocell marketplace. The OmniRadio processor gives wireless carriers a cost advantage and is the industry’s only combined 2G/3G femtocell being marketed today.
RadioFrame CEO Jeff Brown had this to say: “RadioFrame is unique with our approach of an upgradeable platform solution that lets a wireless network provider implement femtocells in 2G, 3G and 4G networks and upgrade those same femtocells remotely as requirements for standards change. With our OmniRadioTM processor we not only offer wireless carriers a distinct cost advantage, we also offer the only software based, upgradeable femtocell solution in the industry today. We are designing the RadioFrame solution to be both the first and last femtocell product that a carrier would ever need to deploy.”

This second-gen OmniRadio processor has a wealth of system and software wireless technology and intellectual property developed by RFN, which provides solutions which allow media and high-speed data apps, and triple play voice, and is based on cutting edge silicon technology that brings excellent performance-to-cost ratio in a single chip which supports 2G, 3G, WiMAX and LTE networks.
RadioFrame was recently named as ABI Research’s most innovative femcell vendor finishing on top of ABI’s innovation category that judged cost advantages, plug-and-play capabilities, scalability, solution maturity, service security, multimode cellular support capabilities along with future proof upgrade paths. One of the leading voices in the femtocell market, ABI forcasts there will be in excess of 100 million femtocell users across the world by 2011.
RadioFrame VP of Engineering, Greg Veintimillia said: “We are continuing to develop silicon solutions that enable our customers to truly open up the wireless market in the home. We firmly believe that cost sensitivities, coupled with a need for high performance requirements, are mandating highly integrated solutions. LTE and WiMAX will push that envelope even further and we are convinced the OmniRadioTM II processor makes RadioFrame uniquely positioned to make the most of these opportunities.”

Another good mobile phone from WND is the Wind DUO 2100 mobile phone, well twin mobile phone actually. The MND Wind DUO 2100 is in WND’s words, ‘A low cost, no frills, dual face mobile phone designed for users that carry two GSM handsets’
The Wind DUO 2100 has been crafted as a dual face bar design to be a low cost sporty and rugged mobile handset, which melds two screens, two keypads, and two SIM cards together as one single handset. The WND Wind DUO 2100 will synchronise personal and business life, and can be used seamlessly across continents, can share data between opposing sides in a snap, and has a 2.0 megapixel camera.

The WND Wind DUO 2100 is tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz, measures 98 x 47.5 x 17.3mm, weighs 95 grams, 240 x 320 pixels 262k colour TFT screens, microSD both sides, midi and mp3 ringtones, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, 3 games, clock, alarm, calculator, vibration, 3 hours talk time and 180 hours standby time.
The WND Wind DUO 2100 is similar to that of the WND Wind DUO 2000 which is also a dual screen, dual keypad, and dual SIM mobile phone, though the Wind DUO 2100 is a step up with a few extra features, and available in black/silver pairing. Again two mobile handsets fused together back-to-back to make one single mobile phone for your busy lifestyle. I still have the same problem with the 2100 as with the 2000 and that is the possibility of the other face phone ringing in my ear when I’m speaking on the opposite phone.

It goes to prove how popular people love using mobile and home phones because 97.5 million votes were cast on the American Idol 2008 Final between David Archuleta and David Cook.
American Idol is the most watched U.S TV show where 25 year-old bartender David Cook won the 2008 seventh season singing competition, the competition was hot and the phone calls and texts sent in prove that. David Cook from Blue Springs, Missouri beat David Archuleta, 17 from Murray, Utah. Cook the rocker won 56 percent of the record 97.5 million votes cast for the final. Everyone really though Archuleta would win because of his cutes looks and smooth voice but this was not to be for him; instead the Cook the rocker took the winning spot.
It seems the use of mobile phones and home phones were used so much more this year because last years American Idol 2007 saw Jordin Sparks who is only 17 win to defeat Blake Lewis. 74 million votes were cast last year by telephone and text message.

So from 74 million last year to 97.5 million this year we all know that the use of mobiles and telephones for this particular contest were much more in use. How do you feel about the David Archuleta and David Cook final? We would love to know.

When Ryan was born in 1996, I took his picture about a dozen times a day-ooh look, his eyes are open! Now he’s sleeping! Now he’s still sleeping! I always got double prints when I developed the film-yes, FILM-, so I had plenty of extras to share with adoring Grandparents.
Now that I only use a digital camera, it’s much harder to share photos with family. My father in law uses Flickr, but my Dad and Stepmom can barely send email. I could be having my digital photos printed out at Target or Walgreen’s, I know it’s easy to do, but I just don’t. All these great photos of my adorable kids and no one in my family is seeing them!
KINZIN TO THE RESCUE!!! Parent Bloggers Network asked for volunteers to try out this new service called Kinzin, which is not only extremely easy to use, it’s also private AND inexpensive. Kinzin sends ten printed photos that either you select or randomly pulled from your Flickr page to three addresses, EVERY MONTH. And the best part is, it only costs $2.99 per address per month, PLUS, you get the third address FREE. $5.98 to send three different family members ten photos a month! Perfect!! If you have family members that don’t use the Internet or just like having printed photos, you really need to check out Kinzin.
Start by going to the Kinzin website and signing up for a free account. Using Kinzin’s unique “These Are My Kids” feature, you’ll create a page for each of your children with a recent photo as well as a “What am I Up To?” blurb called a Kidstream. You’ll fill in the names and addresses of the three family members who will be receiving your photos, and then choose the photos you want to send. You can add captions to the photos as well. I checked with my Stepmother and she confirmed that the photos are printed on quality paper and are 4×6 size.
You can also add the Kinzin application to your Facebook page as well as join the Flickr group, so if you do have family members online, they can see the photos there, too. I’m just so happy to know that my Stepmother, my Grandma, and Chris’ Dad are all getting printed photos of my kids each month. I just need to remember to upload new photos every month to my Kinzin page so they don’t keep getting the same ten photos over and over
Seriously people, check out Kinzin. For the price of a combo meal at a fast food place, you can send out ten photos a month to three different addresses and show your friends and family just what your cute lil’ punkins are up to. I guarantee they will be thrilled and so will you! To see other reviews of Kinzin, check out the posts from the other members of Parent Bloggers Network.

Not only are WND bringing us their new double phone Wind Duo 2000, a back to back double screen, double SIM, double keyboard mobile phone, they are now bringing us the WND Atom Van Gogh, which also brings the users something quite new, and that is a Bluetooth headset that folds away into the back of the mobile handset, seems like a cool idea to me.
WND bill the Atom Van Gogh as “catering for dynamic users in search of phenomenal functionality and performance. The in-built, detachable wireless earpiece gives the WND Atom Van Gogh a unique edge and delivers a much-needed, long-awaited solution to today’s mobile users. The phone incorporates twin cameras which can be used for both still photography and video capture, while the music player lets users play back their favourite music files in MP3 and other formats.”

Specs on the Atom Van Gogh are: tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz, 2.0 inch TFT LCD QVGA display, built-in 3.0 megapixel camera with auto-focus, 128MB storage memory, 128×64Mbits PGM memory, and measures 105 x 48 x 15mm and weighs 75 grams, and according to WND the Atom Van Gogh can be used seamlessly across continents.
Ok so the specs look reasonable, and the Atom Van Gogh is 15mm thick, so fairly thin considering it houses a Bluetooth headset in its back, appearance wise it looks a descent enough mobile phone judging from the images. Although the WND website doesn’t give a price or availability date we believe this one is coming soon.
Hmm writing this has jogged my memory about a post I did the other day, (see here) maybe I was right and the WND Atom Van Gogh will beat them to the Bluetooth post!

Apple have been seeking international deals for their iPhone for some time now, and one of the biggies has to be China, as if Apple can actually strike a deal with China then the abundance of unofficial unlocked iPhone over there just may cut back a bit, and besides there are more people in China than there are in America so makes for good business to break into the Chinese market.
Jason Schwarz writes for SeekingAlpha, saying: “Over the last few weeks Apple has been signing international iPhone distribution deals at an astounding pace. Why so much urgency? Sure, they want the 3G iPhone to become a major global player, but the urgency has everything to do with their home court advantage; aka, the low dollar. Even Apple has taken notice that the low dollar might be on its way out and they realize that it’s time to seize the moment. Let’s take a look at the granddaddy of them all, India. Vodafone and Bharti Airtel will reportedly market the new handset through a staggering 250,000 retail outlets, including franchisee-owned shops. Compare this rollout with the meagre 7,000 Apple and AT&T stores in the US.”
Swartz went on to write “On top of this staggering 250,000 number, consider the profit effect of the low dollar; iPhones will be priced at 23,000 Rs or about $545 each. The US retail price is $399. The raucous [NBA] fans in Boston, Utah, New Orleans or San Antonio can’t touch that kind of home court advantage.”
So, apparently Apple has a new board member, Avon CEO Andrea Jung, who was responsible for Avon’s direct sales launch in China, so could this mean the Apple iPhone is taking that slow boat to China?
Well considering China Mobile has a subscriber base of some 375 million, the largest in the world mind you, and already supplies a service to the 400,000 unlocked and smuggled iPhone in China. Therefore it shouldn’t really come as a surprise that the only board member not to be at the annual shareholders meeting in March was Andrea Jung, could this be because she was in China negotiating a deal?

Do you want to be the best at Nintendo’s Mario Kart Wii? Well you have got to check out the latest revolutionary homemade training wheel. We have a video below of the homemade training wheel in action but let me chat about it for a little bit. The Wii Wheel is pretty hard to handle and obviously this person in the video thought so as well and that is why the Wii Wheel housing was made.
Nintendo Wii Fanboy’s Revolutionary columnist Mike Sylvester is the one behind this revolutionary do-it-yourself training wheel and we think he might have hit the jackpot, hey get it into shops quick. He just wanted to make racing games much easier to handle, he says that when he was writing for GlovePIE script for MotoGP 2 he wanted to be able to twist the Nintendo Wii Remote for throttle whilst tilting it to steer and this is when he found a simple way to do it.

For all the details on the revolutionary homemade training wheel please visit here, you can watch the video of the homemade training wheel in action with the Mario Kart Wii. I really do like this idea because it in simple, cheap and easy to build, yes ok it is ugly but hey who cares as long as it works.
Now please watch the video below.
