Earning Profit With Reseller Hosting

July 25th, 2008 by CommunicateBetter

The internet is an open platform that offers endless opportunities. E-commerce is thriving with many thousands of new companies establishing themselves every year. One business that has quickly become popular and profitable is reseller hosting. A reseller simply acts as an agent for an established hosting company. You purchase space from the company, and then resell it to others looking to own websites.

In many instances, services provided by a reseller are so exceptional that clients have no idea they are dealing with someone who doesn’t have their own servers and resources. Since resellers have some control over the server being used, which comes from researching hosting companies, they usually have the ability provide their clients with some of the best service available.

Making the Money

After making yourself familiar with the figures and ins and outs of the business, you will find that reseller hosting can be quite prosperous. For example, lets say you purchase about 2000 MB of storage from a prominent web host for the cost of $30 per month. Now that you own this space, it can be redistributed and sold to owners who need storage for uploading their content to the web. You can start off with simple plans providing about 50 MB of storage at $5 per month. This could be an instance where you sell 40 hosting plans and make $200 for that first month. What’s even better is that some web hosts allow you to over order on storage and do not charge additional fees unless the actual usage exceeds the allotted 2000 MB. The typical website owner uses less than half this amount of space, meaning you can easily double or triple your initial investment and make out rather nicely.

As your clients get settled on the web, this becomes residual income. With a satisfactory service, this money will come to your month after month, year after year until clients decide to shut down their sites or move to another host. With a great marketing plan, this could be some of the easiest money you can make. All of your efforts are aimed towards selling your allotted space while the parent company handles all of the technical aspects. For a nominal fee, some will even provide quality support to your clients, making things much easier for you.

If all the above is not interesting enough, you can possibly increase your earnings by recruiting other resellers. This system can be structured whereas you receive a regular commission on the monthly sales of your resellers. The margin of profit in this business is quite favorable and can be mastered by those who lack the resources and expertise required for such an infrastructure.

Once your reseller business becomes popular, it may also have the opportunity to become more scalable than a traditional hosting service. The average web host using a shared server is limited in resources. If a number of clients suddenly require storage upgrades, the host may not be prepared, meaning they have to pay out of their pockets to appease clients. With reselling, you have the option of moving to a host that can meet those needs and take your clients with you.

Reselling has become a viable solution for many looking to prosper on the internet. This business offers a low start up fee with the probability of a huge return. With a few marketing skills and a bit of determination, you just may be next great web host.

Located in Miami, CFC gets generous help from top Miami pediatric neuro and plastic surgeons, who donate their time and expertise to help with tricky surgeries like cleft palate repair and spinal surgery.

If you live in the Key Biscayne area, you can attend Kaleidoscope of Dreams - A Gala Fundraising Event on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at The Rusty Pelican from 7pm - midnight. The evening will begin at 7pm with complimentary cocktails provided by Bacardi. Child Foundation Charity is the only charity I’ve ever heard of that takes none of the donations it receives for itself, thanks to an unbelievably generous, anonymous sponsor who covers operating costs for the charity itself. You can help them provide desperately needed surgical and medical treatments to children from all over the world by making a donation or sponsoring a child today.

GPS features seeded into Apple iPhone Firmware 2.1

July 25th, 2008 by Phones Review

Apparently Apple has seeded a beta version of iPhone 2.1 firmware (Beta 1, Build 5F90} to developers, according to a report on MacRumors.

Word is Apple has included new Core Location features which may suggest turn by turn GPS is on the cards. Core Location can apparently track your direction and the speed at which you are going.

Also with this updated firmware, Apple has seeded a newer version of the Apple iPhone SDK, however, said new SDK apparently cannot submit applications to the Apple App Store.

Earlier reports say firmware 2.0.1 has been seen in the wild; however a 2.1 upgrade could introduce more than just say bug fixes.

Further news on this, and Apple has promised this feature by September, is that Apple has now included alongside the Core Location speed and heading additions, an early Push Notifications APIs which allows apps to process notifications in the iPhone background

Jailbreak iPhone means true multitasking for iPhone apps

July 25th, 2008 by Phones Review

If you are one of those iPhoner’s who is quite content grabbing the odd app that Apple dictate you can have from the App Store then all well and good. But if you are an iPhone of the ilk that rules are meant to be broken this is another reason to jailbreak that iPhone 3G.

The new Pwnage Tool 2.0 and Winpwn offer up jailbreak solutions that offer true multitasking apps from rogue 3rd party developers, thus allowing more than one app to run in the background.

While official Apple App Store apps such as Safari and Mail have no problem with multitasking unofficial 3rd party apps do, and this is where jailbreak apps step in, as posted on iPhone Atlas.

Jailbreak developers aren’t restricted to the iPhone SDK so that can develop apps that take full advantage of all the iPhone’s resources. Which means jailbreak apps can run in the background allowing true multitasking support alongside Apple’s own iPhone apps.

Prolific iPhone developer Jonathan Zdzairski says: “This means that it doesn’t matter what kind of desktop OS you run, you can still build great iPhone apps. Some changes have been made to the private API headers from v1.x to make them code-compatible with 2.0. This means most of your 1.x applications will rebuild for 2.0 with very few, if any, changes. Saurik has also provided a signing tool to sign your applications (ldid -S /path/to/binary). You’ll need to do this only once to make your application run.”

eBay auctions off unlocked Apple iPhone 3G?

July 25th, 2008 by Phones Review

Well I guess it was only a matter of time really, anyone can purchase virtually anything on eBay, and so it doesn’t really come as a shock to now see an Apple iPhone 3G fully unlocked and up for bidding.

This news via Cellphone Signal follows on from earlier news that unlocked Apple iPhone 3Gs were on offer from Hong Kong retailer Alibaba (see here) and now a slightly higher priced unlocked iPhone 3G hits eBay.

We have heard of SIM based hardware unlock, the Pwnage Tool 2.0 is available but is lacking an iPhone 3G unlocking tool, so does this iPhone owner selling on eBay have some miraculous link with insider help on unlocking the iPhone 3G?

Maybe it’s an unlocked iPhone 3G from Europe! That we can’t be sure on, but we won’t be bidding on this iPhone 3G unlocked or not, especially with the eBay “Buy It Now” price sitting comfortably at almost $1,500.

Tag Heuer Meridiist mobile gains FCC approval for US

July 25th, 2008 by Phones Review

Most mobile device at some stage go through FCC rigorous tests in their labs, and even under their harsh spotlight the Tag Heuer Meridiist mobile phone demands some serious attention.

Although I for one won’t be purchasing this solidly built, shiny finished Tag Heuer Meridiist mobile handset with stainless steel and Sapphire Crystal screen simply because I personally don’t think it is worth the enormous $5,000 price tag.

However, for those who have an abundance of the green stuff to throw away, the FCC have just approved the Tag Heuer Meridiist mobile handset for the US.

Each and every one of those 5,000 notes will get you a Tag Heuer made Meridiist mobile that holds a feature set straight out of 2001. Features such as sapphire Crystal display screen, 1.9 inch QVGA display, 2 megapixel camera, OLED 96X76 pixel secondary display, leather trim, metal casing and Bluetooth.

Other than that, there are far more worthy causes out there that could actually make good use of your 5,000 greenbacks.

BlackBerry Media Sync puts your iTunes on your BlackBerry

July 25th, 2008 by Phones Review

Research In Motion has announced the release of BlackBerry Media Sync, and is now available to download to your BlackBerry handset such as the BlackBerry pearl, the BlackBerry curve, and the Blackberry 8800s.

Actually BlackBerry media Sync covers pretty much every mobile handset to come out of Waterloo based Research In Motion.

With blackberry media Sync, Blackberry owners can now grab their desktop iTunes and shove them on their BlackBerry handset, although DRM’d tracks are naturally off limits.

For you to use the free download at BlackBerry, you will require iTunes version 7.0 or higher, microSD card, and BlackBerry device software v4.2 or higher.

Although, I always believed Blackberry business types were always too busy with corporate lunches and the like to be actually taking advantage of music while on the move! Still I guess even BlackBerry owners are allowed some little down time.

Tiscali: found bad for broadband, traffic shape, p2p block

July 25th, 2008 by Daniel

Tiscali broadband
When your thinking about a new broadband service there are many things we need to consider. These include: the amount of data you think you will use, what you want to use it for, price and if there are any restrictions.

Its easy to think you can just get broadband because the price looks good and the data limit is right with the package you choose. But you could not be more wrong.

Tiscali have become a joke to not only us, but also thousands of other customers on the Tiscali broadband service. We know 3 other people that have used the Tiscali service as well as us, and that’s small compared to the hundreds on their own forums that are complaining.

If you visit the Tiscali forums that they control you will see thousands of pages all about P2P problems, games being blocked on the PC, Sony PS3 and Xbox 360.

The Tiscali traffic shaping obviously only benefits Tiscali and makes their customers rage with anger, including us. We have now moved to BT and have no problems at all.

With our experience of the Tiscali service for over a year, we say do not touch it if you want to play games. There is a good chance they will block you connecting to your friends online.

Let the world know if you have had the same problems as us, and thousands of others in the Tiscali forums by telling your story in the comments.
